Invisalign

Invisalign is the next generation of orthodontic treatment—a treatment that does not fill your mouth with metal wires and brackets.

The Invisalign system uses a series of clear acrylic aligners that fit over the teeth and gradually move them into their correct positions.

How Invisalign Works

We start each orthodontic case with measurements and imaging of the teeth and mouth. This data goes to Invisalign technicians who send back a series of these clear, custom-made aligners. We show our patient how to fit these aligners over their teeth.

The patient wears each aligner for one or two weeks before switching to the next aligner in the series. These aligning trays are worn for 22 hours each day. They can be removed for meals, enabling our patient to eat their favorite foods (which would be prohibited if they had metal braces). Because the aligners can also be removed to clean the teeth, there is less decay, gum disease and staining on the teeth with Invisalign compared to metal braces.
